Thank you!
Please accept our most humble and sincere gratitude for your gifts that have helped to Give the Gift of Opportunity on our third Giving Day, held on Wednesday 17 September.
You and many others have helped us to provide means-tested scholarships to open the doors to a Newington College education. You have given access to students who are ready to take the courage to try, the curiosity to question, and the integrity to lead with purpose. You have helped to make a real difference in the life of a future Newingtonian.
Thanks to your kindness and the incredible spirit of our community, we exceeded our goal of $333,000. What an extraordinary result — and it’s all because of people like you.
Parents (past and present), Old Newingtonians, grandparents, staff, students and friends came together with one shared purpose: to open doors for children whose potential is clear, but whose financial circumstances might otherwise hold them back. Your gift has helped change the course of a young life — and for that, we are profoundly grateful.
Every tax-deductible gift received was TREBLED, due to the outstanding support of our Matching Givers – the Stanmore P&F, the ONU, Old Newingtonians, parents, and grandparents who share your belief in and love of Newington. To each of our Matching Givers, please accept our thanks for your amazing support and your leadership – we could not have done it without you.
Together, we are working toward a bold goal: to fund means-tested scholarships for 100 children by 2040. Giving Day has brought us one step closer — but there is still more to do. Your continued support will help us offer the full richness of a Newington education to those who need it most.
Once again - thank you!

With thanks from Ned*
"Newington has taught me the importance of teamwork and a strong work ethic, along with how to present myself and highlight my values and strengths, skills that will undoubtedly be useful as I continue my journey...
"The support I've received extends beyond academics and co-curricular activities; it has also touched upon cultural and personal well-being. During a particularly challenging time, when a family issue weighed heavily on me, my teachers, mentor, and Head of House noticed my struggles. They took the time to check in on me, offer reassurance, and provide their help through counselling or simply by listening. This compassion eased my mind and made school a much more positive and manageable place during that time...
"I'm profoundly grateful for the opportunity you have given me and sincerely hope that others are granted the same chance. This scholarship has changed my life; I know it will do the same for many future students."

House versus House
Each of the 16 Houses at Stanmore, the four Houses at Wyvern, and the two Houses at Lindfield will compete to raise agreed goals. When you donate, your gift can be allocated towards your House of choice. It could be your child/rens' House(s), your House when you were at school, your House as a staff member, or to Newington ('no House').
All Houses are doing battle to see which House wins an award of a (healthy) pizza lunch on Friday, 26 September.
Which House will you support?
Matching Givers
A big thank you to the following leading members of our Newington family who have generously agreed to match your gift.
With our combined efforts we will be able to Give the Gift of Opportunity to support scholarships for more Newington students.
Thank you!
